SAM AGM 2024 & Election of Exco 2024-2026
Invitation to SAM Annual General Meeting 2024 on 21 August 2024
Dear SAM Members,
We appreciate all your support during these uncertain and difficult time.
As the term of the current SAM Executive Committee is ending, it is timely for us to update all members of SAM’s activities and achievements to-date. In this light, we would like to convene the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Notice is hereby given of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on 21 August 2024 (Wednesday), 4.00 – 7.00 p.m. MMT (dinner included). The AGM will be in hybrid format and the venue shall be at Sedona Hotel Yangon.
Please confirm your attendance for the AGM by sending an email with the subject title “Confirmation of Attendance for SAM AGM 2024” to sam.secretariatoffice@gmail.com, by 19 August 2024 (Monday), 12 noon. MMT. Upon receipt of your email, we will send you a confirmation email with the dial-in details and instructions for the AGM (if you are attending the AGM virtually).
The Agenda for the AGM is as follows:
- Opening Remarks
- Approval of Minutes of the previous AGM
- Report of SAM’s activities in, and accounts for, 2022-2024
- Approval of the Reports
- Election of the SAM Executive Committee 2024-2026
Would you like to volunteer your service and play an active role in contributing to the Community? We encourage you to step forward and join us in the 2024-26 SAM EXCO.
Each nomination for a position on the Executive Committee must be supported by two members (a proposer and a seconder), with this form duly signed. Any form that is not signed by two members will not be accepted.
If you would like to submit nominations for positions on the Executive Committee, nominations can be made ahead of the AGM, by submitting a nomination form to us by 16 August 2024 (Friday), 12 noon MMT:
- via email at: : sam.secretariatoffice@gmail.com with the subject title “Nomination Form for SAM AGM 2024”; or
- in person at the SAM Secretariat Office
By 19 August 2024 (Monday), 12 noon MMT, we will send a collated list of nominations to all members for you to check your nominations. If the person that you have nominated has not been included in the list, please inform us by 20 August 2024 (Tuesday), 12 noon MMT, so that we can include your nominee(s) in the list before the AGM.
If you are unable to attend the AGM but still wish to cast your vote during the AGM, please fill in the attached proxy form and send it to us at: sam.secretariatoffice@gmail.com with the subject title “Proxy Form for SAM AGM 2024”. Please note that all proxy forms must be received by the Secretariat by 20 August 2024 (Tuesday), 12 noon. MMT. Notice is hereby given of the Special General Meeting (“SGM”) which will be held on 13 June 2024 (Thursday), 4.00 – 5.30 p.m and SAM Members’ Night 2024, 5.30 – 7.30 p.m. MMT (dinner included). The SGM will be in hybrid format and the venue shall be in PARKROYAL Yangon. After SGM, Singapore Hawker Food Dinner will be served during the SAM Members’ Night 2024.
All SAM Members are cordially invited to attend the SGM and the SAM Members’ Night (free entry for all SAM Members).

For expired and non-members who wish to join the exclusive SAM MEMBERS’ NIGHT 2024 (5.30pm to 7.30pm) after SGM, the ticket fee is available at MMK 80,000 per pax.

Annual General Meeting 2023
Singapore Association of Myanmar (SAM) conducted our hybrid Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 24 August 2023 (Thursday) to update our members on what the executive committee had accomplished during its term.
We would like to thank the SAM members who joined in person and online in our hybrid AGM, together with the members who were unable to attend but have sent in their proxy votes.
