As the term of the current SAM Executive Committee (EXCO) draws to a close and Singapore National Day 2026 approaches, we are pleased to invite all SAM members to attend the SAM Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026 and Singapore National Day Celebration Dinner organized by the Singapore Association of Myanmar (SAM).

This gathering provides an opportunity to reflect on SAM’s achievements and activities during the current term, elect the incoming Executive Committee for the 2026–2028 term, and celebrate Singapore’s National Day together as a community.

Call for Volunteers and EXCO Nominations

Would you like to play a more active role in serving and strengthening our community? We warmly encourage interested members to volunteer their time and expertise by standing for election to the SAM Executive Committee (EXCO) for the 2026–2028 term.

Nomination Form

Each nomination for a position on the Executive Committee must be supported by two current SAM members (a proposer and a seconder). Any form that does not have the membership details of two current SAM members will not be accepted. The nominee must be informed of and accept the nomination. Signatures of the proposer, seconder, and nominee must all be included in the form. If you would like to submit nominations for positions on the Executive Committee, nominations can be made ahead of the AGM, by submitting a nomination form to us by 17 July 2026 (Friday), 12 noon MMT:

1. via email at: sam.secretariatoffice@gmail.com with the subject title “Nomination Form for SAM AGM 2026”; or
2. in person at the SAM Secretariat Office

By 3 August 2026 (Monday), 12 noon MMT, we will send a collated list of nominations to all members for you to check your nominations. If the person that you have nominated has not been included in the list, please inform us by 4 August 2026 (Tuesday), 12 noon MMT, so that we can include your nominee(s) in the list before the AGM.

Proxy Form

If you are unable to attend the AGM but still wish to cast your vote during the AGM, please fill in the attached proxy form and send it to us at: sam.secretariatoffice@gmail.com with the subject title “Proxy Form for SAM AGM 2026”. Please note that all proxy forms must be received by the Secretariat by 3 August 2026 (Monday), 12 noon. MMT. Upon receipt of your proxy form, you will receive a confirmation email from the SAM Secretariat.
