How to Donate to SAM’s 2nd Batch of Bicycle Donation: Changing Lives with Bicycles
Dear SAM Members and Friends,
In Myanmar, there is not enough learning establishments to cater to the growing population. Schools that are located in town centers are commonly accessed by the surrounding communities by bicycle or by walking. An hour or more trek is not uncommon. Many children in remote communities in Myanmar do not have access or means to own a bicycle creating yet another hurdle to cross in their educational journey.
SAM recognized the need and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of school-going children. On April 1, 2023, 150 bicycles were donated to students in Myaung Mya Township, Ayeyarwaddy Division by Anywheel, a Singapore bicycle sharing company founded by SG PR Htay Aung in cooperation with Lesswalk.org and other corporate and individual donors. Due to the success and overwhelming gratitude from the local community, together with Anywheel, in cooperation with Lesswalk.org, SAM will be organizing the second batch of bicycle donation – “Changing Lives with Bicycle” to donate 200 bicycles to the 16-21 years old students of Myanmar Network of Community Colleges (MNCC) at Dala Township, Yangon Region on 4 November 2023.
Through this activity, SAM will be making a small investment towards the future of Myanmar, specifically in the lives who will inherit it and we invite you to contribute your generosity to this activity.
On the bicycle donation handover ceremony, the students from Dayamit Community College in Dala Township and the representatives from other colleagues will attend the ceremony to receive the bicycles and the other donated items.

The Inter-Chambers Games 2023 – Bowling Tournament on 15 October 2023
The Inter-Chambers Games 2023 – Bowling Tournament held at the Rock & Bowl on 15 October was organised by Singapore Association of Myanmar in collaboration with seven other Asian Chambers and Associations – Association of Indonesia Myanmar (AIM), Indian Association of Myanmar (iAM), Malaysia Association of Myanmar (MAM), Myanmar Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce (MTCC), Pilipinas.MM, Representatives from Myanmar and Thai Business Association Myanmar (TBAM).
Thank you to our SAM members and the members from the other chambers for participating in this tournament.
We would like to congratulate all the winners of the bowling tournament!

Free Webinar: Yangon Real Estate – Market Updates for Quarter 3 (2023) – 13 Oct 2023
On 13 October 2023, the Singapore Association of Myanmar (SAM) collaborated with CIM PROPERTY CONSULTANTS to organise a free webinar: Yangon Real Estate – Market Updates for Quarter 3 (2023).
During the webinar, the three experts from CIM: Karlo Pobre, Managing Director of CIM Property Consultants and Deputy Managing Director of Colliers Thailand, Kyle Han, Senior Business Development Executive of CIM Property Consultants and Hsan Pyae, Senior Analyst of CIM Property Consultants shared the Q3 2023 market updates about Real Estate Sector in Yangon including Office, Hotels, Condominiums, Retails, Serviced Apartments and Industrial Zones.
Members of SAM, the Myanmar Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MHKCCI), the Thai Business Association of Myanmar (TBAM), the Malaysia-Myanmar Business Chamber (MMBC), and the Association of Indonesia Myanmar (AIM) were in attendance and they also participated in Q&A sessions about the real estate markets in Yangon.

Singapore Association of Myanmar (SAM) conducted our hybrid Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 24 August 2023 (Thursday) to update our members on what the executive committee had accomplished during its term.
