An upcoming sharing session “The Future of Creative Work in Southeast Asia”, will be organized in collaboration with Creative Hub International (CHI), followed by a networking event.
Our keynote speaker, Ms. Yupar Win Lei @ Rachel from Creative Hub International (CHI), will deliver a keynote designed for professionals in the creative, marketing, and business sectors across Myanmar and the region.
Her presentation, “The Future of Creative Work in Southeast Asia” explores how regional shifts in the creative sector are opening up cost-effective opportunities for businesses navigating local constraints.
The talk will blend macro trends from Southeast Asia with Myanmar-specific challenges, covering:
- Economic constraints and shrinking marketing budgets
- Limitations within local agencies and internal capacity gaps

On Monday, 25th June, the Joint Foreign Chambers in Myanmar and the World Bank Myanmar are organising a collaborative event on the World Bank’s latest update on Myanmar’s economy: a briefing on the Myanmar Economic Monitor Update June 2025.

Daw Kim Chawsu has over 20 years of international experience spanning Myanmar, ANZ, Asia, and the UK, with a focus on finance, banking, and governance. Throughout her career, Kim has worked extensively in external audit and financial services in New Zealand and London, specializing in enhancing internal controls and fostering high-performing, agile teams.
As the founder of K. Academy, a capacity-building initiative in Myanmar, Kim is committed to upskilling professionals in the banking and finance sectors, focusing on board and senior management training. She partners with CEOs, Chairs, Boards of Directors, and other key stakeholders to drive organizational efficiency, profitability, and shareholder value.
Kim serves as an Independent Director for several organizations, where she applies her expertise in governance, risk management, and financial oversight to guide businesses through complex challenges and strategic transitions. Her leadership has made a lasting impact, successfully improving business performance through strengthened governance, enhanced financial controls, and a focus on innovation.
Kim is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), holding dual memberships with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (ICAANZ). Daw Thiri Thant Mon is the Director of Investor Relations for Climate Investment, a private equity firm based in London, UK focused on investing in decarbonisation technologies. She also serves as Executive Director of the Myanmar Institute of Directors which is Myanmar’s corporate governance body and trustee for Turquoise Mountain Foundation, a UK charity that focuses on heritage preservation countries such as Afghanistan and Myanmar. She has held a number of leadership roles over her 20 year career as a finance and capital markets professional.
Before returning to Myanmar in 2013, she was a capital markets investment banker with Morgan Stanley in London helping institutional clients raise multi-billion dollar financings. Upon her return, she was a member of the executive committee and Head of Corporate Development at Yoma Strategic Holdings. She founded Pegu Partners – previously named Sandanila – a capital and investment advisory firm, in 2015.
Thiri started her career in 2000 in the US with Capital One. Thiri has a strong interest in building societal vibrancy and sustainability and is the organiser of TEDxYangon. She holds a BA in Economics from William & Mary and an MBA from the London Business School.
