Joint-Chambers Fun Bowling & Networking Session
We are very proud to announce that SAM, together with the co-organising chambers – Association of Indonesia Myanmar (AIM), Malaysian-Myanmar Business Chamber (MMBC), Myanmar Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MHKCCI) and TBAM – Thai Business Association of Myanmar, organized the first bowling event “Joint-Chambers Fun Bowling & Networking Session” successfully, on 18 June 2023 at Rock & Bowl.

We were amazed at how much interest the members from the various chambers had in our bowling event, where a total of 20 teams (80 bowlers), participated in the competition and a total of 120 pax were in attendance to cheer on the bowlers and to create new connections with one other.
It was the first bowling event in the country with participants from members of different chambers and we believe that unforgettable memories were forged.

Joint-Chamber networking event with the Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs Network (MYANWEN)
On 16 June 2023, a networking event was hosted at Novotel Yangon Max Hotel in collaboration with the Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs Network (MYANWEN) and Singapore Association of Myanmar (SAM), Myanmar Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MHKCCI), Malaysia-Myanmar Business Chamber (MMBC), TBAM – Thai Business Association of Myanmar (TBAM) and Association of Indonesian in Myanmar (AIM).
A diverse group of women professionals, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders from various sectors within the local business community and members of different chambers attended the event, which provided opportunities to build meaningful relationships that may lead to new partnerships, collaborations and growth opportunities.
Second Joint Chambers Networking Event 2023
On 15 June 2023, the Second Joint Chambers Networking Event 2023 was held at Le Cellier Restaurant. It was mainly organized by CCI France Myanmar, in collaboration with Singapore Association of Myanmar – SAM, American Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar, British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar, EuroCham Myanmar, India Myanmar Chamber of Commerce, Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Myanmar, Myanmar Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Malaysia-Myanmar Business Chamber, and TBAM – Thai Business Association of Myanmar.
The event aimed to bring together professionals from diverse sectors, fostering meaningful connections and providing a platform to explore potential business opportunities. Attending venue-packed events with members from various chambers can provide a wealth of opportunities to expand professional connections, exchange ideas, and stay at the forefront of industry trends.

10th March 2023 – Security Briefing and Networking Event
On 10 March 2023, SAM, together with the Myanmar Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MHKCCI), who is the main organiser of the event, and other foreign chambers in Yangon co-hosted a corporate briefing on Security Updates and networking event at Seeds Restaurant.
During the briefing, a professional from Exera Myanmar shared a strategic update on the situation in Myanmar, including an analysis of trends and dynamics of the conflict for the past months and a look at the path ahead.
SAM members attended the briefing and also participated in the networking event to connect with members from the other chambers.
SAM Cyclone Mocha Relief Response: Donation of 200 sets of Family Hygiene Kits worth MMK 10,000,000 to the Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS)
Today (22 May 2023), SAM donated 200 sets of Family Hygiene Kits worth MMK 10,000,000 to the Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS), which will be distributed to families in Rakhine State who were severely affected by Cyclone Mocha.
According to MRCS data, 10,000 households from different states and regions are now in dire need of humanitarian assistance. Recognizing the devastation caused in the wake of this cyclone, SAM urgently tapped our resources and partners to provide the most basic but vital goods to support those in need and we will continue our efforts.

Briefing on “Risk Management for Corporates: Strategies for Safeguarding Your Business in Myanmar”
We are pleased to announce that our SAM members joined the briefing on “Risk Management for Corporates: Strategies for Safeguarding Your Business in Myanmar” on 21 April 2023.
The event was mainly organised by Myanmar Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MHKCCI) and co-organised by SAM, Thai Business Association of Myanmar (TBAM), Malaysia-Myanmar Business Chamber (MMBC), Association of Indonesia Myanmar (AIM) and British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar.
At the event, we learned about mitigating risks and protecting businesses from failures in the challenging environment presented by the expert speakers from KBZ MS General Insurance, the title sponsor of the event.
Our members and friends also enjoyed the networking session and food & drinks after the presentation and Q&A session.

SAM’s Bicycle Donation project ‘Changing Lives with Bicycles’
On 1 April 2023, the handover ceremony for SAM’s Bicycle Donation project ‘Changing Lives with Bicycles’ was held in Myaung Mya Township, Ayeyarwaddy Region.
Singapore Association of Myanmar (SAM), with the support of our friends and corporate sponsors, donated 150 bicycles, backpacks with school stationery, essential hygiene products to students ages 11-16, who live in the surrounding villages.
The aim of this project is to give a measure of relief to the students who travels an hour by foot to and from school.
Additionally, SAM provided monetary donations of MMK 500,000 to four community-based organisations In appreciation of their selfless service to the community; Sacred Heart Free Funeral Service, St.Vincent De Paul Charity Organisation, St.Francis Xavier Boarding School for Girls and Sacred Heart Church Boarding School for Boys.

On 23 March 2023, SAM, together with M Extra and Mango Advertising as well as MHKCCI, TBAM, MMBC, and AIM, successfully organised the Sharing Session – ‘Future Proofing your business with Digitalization: Digital Trends 2023’ and Networking Event at Parkroyal Hotel Yangon.
At the event, Ko Swan Htet, General Manager of M Extra, and Ma May Thu Kyaw, Senior Strategic Planner of Mango Advertising shared updates and insights on:
- Digital and Social Media Trends in 2023
- How to be seen and heard better by your audiences
More than 115 attendees from different business industries joined the event.
