In the spirit of the holiday season, SAM initiated three special projects with the aim of maintaining basic living standards for underpriviledge students.

1) Student Hostel Renovation & Sleeping Materials at Mahargandaryone Monastic Education School, Thaketa Township

SAM contributed MMK 10.5 million to renovate a student hostel accommodating more than 30 young monks. The renovation included new flooring, doors, ceilings, mosquito nets, ceiling fans, and lighting. Additionally, new sleeping materials: carpets, pillows, pillowcases, and blankets, were provided to improve their daily living conditions.

2) Water Filtration System at Myanmar Agape Orphanage, Hmaw Bi Township

SAM provided funding worth MMK 9.9 million for a new water filtration system along with a dedicated drinking-water facility. The orphanage, home to 109 children and 25 staff, had been facing challenges due to an outdated system that no longer produced safe drinking water. This project ensures clean, reliable water for all 134 residents.

3) Playground Renovation & Equipment at Training School for Girls, Mayangone Township

With a donation of MMK 10.5 million, SAM supported the renovation of the school’s playground to create a safer and more engaging environment for the students. The upgrade included new concrete flooring, tables and chairs, painting work, swings, seating areas, and essential maintenance.

We are pleased to share that the official handover ceremonies for these three projects will take place in January 2026. In the meantime, the facilities are being enjoyed by the children.

We warmly invite all SAM members to join us in celebrating the successful completion of these initiatives and to witness the positive impact your support has brought to the communities. More details on dates, times, and logistics will be announced soon.
