SAM’s 2nd Batch of Bicycle Donation: Changing Lives with Bicycles
On 4 November 2023, Singapore Association of Myanmar (SAM), with the support of our friends and corporate sponsors, donated 200 bicycles, and backpacks with school stationery to the students of the Myanmar Network of Community Colleges (MNCC).
This is the 2nd Batch of SAM’s Bicycle Donation Program, ‘Changing Lives with Bicycles’, which was held in Dala Township, Yangon Region.
The aim of this project is to give a measure of relief to the students who travel long distances by foot to and from school.
Additionally, SAM provided monetary donations of MMK 800,000 to four Dala-based organisations in appreciation of their selfless service to the community: St. Michael Funeral Service, iCARE Disability Center, Calvary Home (Orphanage) and St Sebastian Church.
