We all remember that special day when we experienced watching our first movie at the cinema. The excitement and awe that we felt preparing for the trip, the thrill of sitting in cold, darkened room in flip-out chairs. Carefully balancing the snacks and drinks while we wait for the images to appear in a larger-than-life size.

No other experience can encapsulate the days of being a child.

In Myanmar, and so many other places in the world, millions of children are not fortunate enough to have these memories to look back to. Going to the cinema is just a dream. 

And so, we in SAM, in the spirit of Thingyan Festival, wish to make this possible for 250 Myanmar Children with the inaugural “Children’s Day @ The Movies” event with the support of our members and friends.

Hundreds of children will enjoy a day marked with laughter, magic and pure fun. From the bus trip to the venue, event t-shirts, tote bags filled with souvenirs, all-you-can-eat concessionaire stands, instant photos to record the day culminating with a child-friendly movie, this day will be unlike others.

We invite you to be part of this heartwarming initiative.
