Essential Relief Food Pack Distribution On 26 November 2022
On 26 Nov, SAM donated and distributed bags of rice, cooking oil and instant noodle packets to the following 4 Orphanages and Childrens Homes in Hmawbi and Hlegu townships.
- Myanmar Agape Orphanage – Established in 1996, it is currently looking after the social and educational well-being of 104 children. Upon graduation, the orphanage also helps them to find jobs and some stay on to teach and care for the younger children.
- Agape Child Development Center – Established in 1995, it provides accomodation and care for 46 children.
- Orphanage at St. Francis Convent – Established in 2009, it is currently looking after 33 children who are in need of a safe and nurturing environment and living conditions.
- Living Children Home – Established in 1994, they are currently taking care of 7 children.

Essential Relief Food Pack Distribution On 22 October 2022
On 22 October 2022, Singapore Association of Myanmar (SAM) has again distributed essential and staple food items such as rice, cooking oil and instant noodles to another 3 beneficiary organisations, some of which SAM has been donating every year since 1994.
The 3 beneficiary organisations are:
- Education Centre for the Blind
- School for the disabled Children
- Training School for Young Women
We believe in giving back to community and society and it has always been a heartbeat and backbone of SAM existence in Myanmar.

Essential Relief Food Pack Distribution On 8 October 2022
On 8 October 2022, Singapore Association of Myanmar (SAM) distributed essential and staple food items to 3 beneficiary organisations.
The 3 beneficiary organisations are:
1) Myanmar Women Development Association – Established in 1947, their core objectives are to provide home and care for homeless girls, provide education and groom the girls to be able to contribute back to their society in a positive way.
2) Catholic Home for the Aged – Established in 1923, they look after the elderly regardless of ethnic, race & religion.
3) School for the Blind – Established in the late 1990s, it provides academic and vocational training to blind students so that they can acquire the basic skills to care for themselves.
Their appreciation of our donations is indeed heartwarming and touching.
SAM will be donating food care packs to more beneficiary organisations that are in need of support in the coming months.

Singapore Association of Myanmar donated essential food packs to 500 families in Thanlyin Township on Saturday, 04 Jun 2022.
This was our seventh distribution and donation of essential food relief packs, which includes 12 kg of rice, 1 litre of cooking oil, tins of sardines, instant noodles, salt, shrimp paste and 1 litre of 100PLUS.
