Dear SAM Members and Friends,

We would like to extend the invitation to the upcoming Bagan Race 2023, an event proudly organized by one of our corporate members, RVIPS Myanmar, currently in its 5th year of celebration. Mark your calendar for 16 December 2023 (Saturday) as we gather at the mesmerizing UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bagan.

The primary objective of this event is to foster the mental and physical well-being of all participants, including the students and staff members of The RVi Group, all our invited guests, as well as members and friends of SAM. Beyond promoting health, Bagan Race 2023 offers a unique opportunity to marvel at the awe-inspiring landscapes of Bagan, a True Gem of Myanmar.

In the spirit of giving back, a portion of the proceeds from this event will be dedicated to supporting the Bagan Community, ensuring that your participation serves as a meaningful contribution to the local community. Join us for a day of health, and community support as we make Bagan Race 2023 a memorable and purposeful event for all.

Event Details:

Date: 16 December 2023 (Saturday)

Location: Old Bagan, In front of Ananda Temple

Time: 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Race Categories (Age as of 1 Dec 2023)

1) Fun Run (This category is available to individuals of all ages)

3 km Fun Run: (Finisher Medal only – not eligible for competition prizes)

(6.30 a.m. Flag-off time for Run)
 
2) Competition (Student)

– 5 km Junior: 13 – 16 years (Male / Female) (6.15 a.m. Flag-off time for Run)
– 10 km Youth: 17 years and above (Male /Female) (6.00 a.m. Flag-off time for Run) – Student must be registered by the school or produce a valid Student ID card/letter when registering

3) Competition (Open – Applicable to individuals of all ages except for those registered under Student)

– 5 km: Male / Female (6.15 a.m. Flag-off time for Run)
– 10 km: Male / Female (6.00 a.m. Flag-off time for Run)

We invite you to participate in this event and experience the breathtaking scenery of Bagan while promoting a healthy lifestyle and positivity during these challenging times.

Currently in its 5th year of organising the event, RVIPS’s main priority is the safety of every participant. Hence, our organizing team has been closely monitoring the situation, including regular checks with bus operators, hotels and the local authorities. We have also made arrangements for evacuation should there be a need to cancel the trip and/or the race due to unforeseen circumstances.
